1. Merchant Pot Turbo
BackGround: Was the OCG Top Deck until the restriction of Pot of Avarice

3 Thunder Dragon
3 Magical Merchant
3 Chaos Sorcerrer
3 Zaborg the Thunder Monarch
2 Magician of Faith
2 Spirit Reaper
2 Old Vindictive Magician
2 Apprentice Magician
2 Big Shield Gardna
2 Exiled Force
2 Tsukuyomi
1 Breaker the Magic Warrior
1 Sinister Serpeant

3 Pot of Avarice
2 Scapegoat
2 Metamorphosis
2 Book of Moon
1 Premature Burial
1 Snatch Steal
1 Heavy Storm
1 Reinforcement of the Army*

2 Royal Decree
1 Time Seal

The Deck aims to set off Magical Merchant setting off a buttload of monsters into the graveyard. Than the deck goes crazy with 241s like Chaos Sorcerrer and Pot of Avarice.

RoTA is an unstable choice for this build, but it's strength is it's ability to bluff off Nobleman of Crossout.

Use RoTA, get out Big Shield, set Merchant. The lack of mass removal in the trap section is made up by the use of Double X-Forces, Triple Chaos, and Triple Zaborgs.

2. Burn

3 Lava Golem
3 Night Assailant
3 Stealth Bird
3 Spirit Reaper
1 Sinister Serpent

13 Spells

3 Level Limit Area-B
3 Wave-Motion Cannon
3 Scapegoat
2 Metamorphosis
1 Swords of Revealing Light
1 Messenger of Peace

Traps

3 Judgment of Anubis
3 Secret Barrel
3 Gravity Bind
2 Just Dessert
2 Ojama Trio
2 Solemn Judgment

Stall and let them swarm the field. Kill off their monsters with Lava Golem. Judgment of Anubis becomes playable against with Heavy Storm and triple Typhoons. Hopefully, no one will use Dust Tornado.

Burn is a good counter against slow decks like MPT.

3. Reasonable-Gate

2 Sacred Phoenix of Nephtys
2 Dark Magician of Chaos
1 Fusilier Dragon the Dual Mode Bot
3 Blowback Dragon
3 Airknight Parshath
1 Berserk Gorilla
1 Injection Fairy Lily
1 Spirit Reaper

3 Reasoning
3 Scapegoat
3 Monster Gate
2 Metamorphosis
2 Mystical Space Typhoon
2 Nobleman of Crossout
2 Enemy Controller
1 Snatch Steal
1 Heavy Storm
1 Premature Burial

2 Bottomless Trap Hole
2 Torrential Tribute
1 Call of the Haunted
1 Mirror Force

Unpredictable. This deck abuses Scapegoat really well.

Scapegoat + Morph
Scapegoat + Monster Gate
Scapegoat + Controller + Airknight/Blowback

Should probably side Hand of Neptys and maybe even Needle Ceiling for a M/T removal Combo.

4. ToolBox Warriors

3 D.D. Assailant
2 Magician of Faith
2 Exiled Force
2 Mobius the Frost Monarch
2 Spirit Reaper
1 Cyber Dragon
1 D.D. Survivor/Berserk Gorilla (Depends on Metagame)
1 Don Zaloog
1 Mystic Sworsdsman Lv2
1 D.D. Warrior Lady
1 Sinister Serpent
1 Breaker the Magic Warrior

3 Mystical Space Typhoon
3 Book of Moon
2 Reinforcement of the Army
2 Nobleman of Crossout
1 Lightning Vortex
1 Premature Burial
1 Snatch Steal
1 Scapegoat
1 Heavy Storm

2 Torrential Tribute
2 Bottomless Trap Hole
1 Call of the Haunted
1 Mirror Force
1 Sakuretsu Armor

Classic Deck. Book of Moon allows the player to be reckless with Attacks from D.D. Assailant. Triple Mystical Space Typhoons clear out Goats and Threats for Mystic Swordsman Lv2 and Don Zaloog.

5. Spellcaster Deck

3 Magician of Faith
2 Chaos Sorcerrer
2 Dark Magician of Chaos
2 Skilled White Magician
2 Apprentice Magician
2 Tsukuyomi
1 Old Vindictive Magician
1 D.D. Warrior Lady
1 Breaker the Magic Warrior
1 Sinister Serpent
1 Cyber Dragon

3 Book of Moon
2 Scapegoat
2 Magical Dimension
2 Metamorphosis
1 Nobleman of Crossout
1 Premature Burial
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Heavy Storm
1 Lightning Vortex

2 Torrential Tribute
2 Sakuretsu Armor
1 Mirror Force
1 Call of the Haunted
1 Mirror Force
1 Spellshield Type-8

Check out Skilled White's stat's:

Light.
Atk: 1700
Def: 1900

It's light so it feeds Chaos Sorcerrer. And the 1900 defense makes it a safe set since Cyber Dragon is at 1.

Berserk Gorilla is rampant, but it's not a special summon and it's earth which doesn't support Chaos. Not as splashable.

Interesting nonetheless. The only thing that shadows me is D.D. Assailant unlimitation and Torrential Tribute semi-limitation.

Too bad this'll never surface.

They made a mistake with banning D.D. Assailant. Assailant sparks antimeta like Jujitsu or anything with more than 1700 defense. Cyber Dragon sparks splashability and kills the playability of any monster with under 2100 attack.

Double TT punishes n00bs since they don't know when to activate it and they always risk it.

6. Water

3 Mother Grizzly
3 Mobius the Frost Monarch
3 Night Assailant
2 Yomi Ship
2 Magician of Faith
2 Spirit Reaper
2 Abyss Soldier
1 Treeborn Frog
1 Sinister Serpent
1 Breaker the Magic Warrior

2 Nobleman of Crossout
2 Scapegoat
2 Metamorphosis
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Salvage
1 Enemy Controller
1 Lightning Vortex
1 Premature Burial
1 Snatch Steal
1 Heavy Storm

2 Torrential Tribute
2 Phoenix Wing Wind Blast
2 Water Art
1 Call of the Haunted
1 Mirror Force

Many Ways to make this deck.
+Fenrir
+More Salvage
+Pot of Avarice instead of Salvage

7. Canceller Control

2 D.D. Assailant
2 Exiled Force
2 Spell Canceller
2 Spirit Reaper
2 Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive
1 Tsukuyomi
1 Sworsdman Lv2
1 Cyber Dragon
1 D.D. Survivor
1 D.D. Warrior Lady
1 Sinister Serpent
1 Breaker the Magic Warrior

2 Reinforcement of the Army
2 Nobleman of Crossout
1 Scapegoat
1 Book of Moon
1 Heavy Storm
1 Premature Burial
1 Snatch Steal
1 Heavy Storm

3 Solemn Judgment
3 Sakuretsu Armor
2 Bottomless Trap Hole
1 Blast With Chain
1 Torrential Tribute
1 Call of the Haunted
1 Mirror Force

Most Skillful Deck Type Ever

8. Beasts

3 D.D. Assailant
3 Enraged Battle Ox
3 Exarion Universe
3 Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive
3 Bazoo the Soul Eater
2 Berserk Gorilla
1 Pitch Black Werewolf
1 Jinzo
1 Cyber Dragon
1 Breaker the Magic Warrior

3 Book of Moon
2 Shrink
2 Smashing Ground
2 Nobleman of Crossout
1 Heavy Storm
1 Premature Burial
1 Snatch Steal

3 Dust Tornado
3 Return from the Different Dimension
2 Torrential Tribute
1 Call of the Haunted
1 Mirror Force

Well the idea's there eventhough this is a very bad build.

Dust Tornado comboes better than MST since you can abuse the second effect to set RfTDD.

Return is more risky because of Scapegoat which is why the deck needs Enraged Battle Ox to be removed to win.

I'm pretty sure Zombies and Fiends can be made good as well.

limit reaper or atleast semi i dont like it at 3

spirit reaper?

the reason its not limited, is because it can easily be destroyed. just activate brain control, shadow spell, anything that would target spirit reaper, and its gone. though reaper is good, its not that great.

With Goats at three and Controller being more splashable, I doubt it's that easy to get a direct hit unless you use a dedicated deck with lots of M/T and Anti-Goat Material.

The ban list will never come tu us ;_;

Not to intrude on your thread, but what kinda chance do you think teh game would have if they phased out sets , similar to magic, starting with the oldest. Perhaps in the first phase, Lob goes then so forth, taking one away for each new set released?/

ironmonkey

It probably won't matter much since the first couple of sets were really bad.

The biggest problem with the game is that Konami, the company which releases new sets and enforces the ban lists, does not play the game at a competitive level like SJCs, regionals, and Nationals. If they did, than they would realize that the format limits what people can use. Than, they would realize that their new card ideas such as E-Heroes, D-Heroes, Rock Support, Insect Support, etc... is really lacking.

I'm not really familiar with phasing (I still don't know the difference between T1, T1.2, T2) so I can't give a definite answer.

It would just start with the first sets, then continue on...lets say the Type 2 format for Yugioh would be, anything before Pharoah's Servent was gone...and any cards that would severly unbalance what was left would be banned....

What Nimble means is something like this:

Sets allowed: Enemy of Justice
Shadow of Infinity
Elemental Energy
Cybernetic Revolution
The Lost Millieum
Flaming Eternity
Dark Revelation 2

And when Power of the Duelist is released, you knock off Flaming Eternity. The Dark Revelation set is there to help newbies more.

I have a format in YGO which is Legacy (T1.5), and someone might make a format like Extended where they only allow upto certain sets, but don't update the list for some time.

A format like that would essential force not only players to create different decks, but make Konami release quality cards in new sets......
