things i don't get in the anime

There's loads of things in the anime that don't make sense.Maybe someone could help........ :confused:

a)In the Battle city tournament finals,Odion is superior to Joey because he was have won if Marik hadn't intervened.We also know that Joey would have won Marik if his energy wasn't drained.So is Odion meant to be a better duelist than Marik?I wouldn't expect him to be since he works for Marik.Thought Marik was meant to be the better one but the duels seem to show otherwise.

b)Do ALL of the millenium items have the power to send ppl to the shadow realm?We only ever see Bakura,Marik and Pegagus do it but presumably the other items could do it too?

c)How come in the duel between Pegagus and Yugi,Yugi wasn't strong enough to withstand the power of the shadow realm(so Yami took over)but Joey,Mai,etc were all perfectly fine when they had to duel in the shadow realm?

d)I thought Mai and Joey were supposed to be good friends so I don't understand why she had to duel him in the Doom series to take his soul.It wasn't as if she was being controlled or anything.

e)How is it that when the characters draw their cards,they can sometimes pick out their whole hand with one draw i.e take exactly 6 cards from the deck in one movement?

f)Don't understand why Yugi always wins when most of his normal monsters aren't that powerful and when most of his magic cards are so specific in when they could be used#

g)is Kaiba not meant to be the same age as Yugi and co since they were in the same class at school?Did he leave school early to run his company or somthing?Because the others still have to go to school when he doesn't.Kaiba looks too much of an adult to be the same age as Yugi

h)if they're all Japanese,how come they've all got white skin?

i)how come some of the men always look like women?I thought Dartz was female the first time I saw a picture of him on a website!

j)After Mokuba gets captured for the one millionth time,why does Kaiba not hire bodyguards?It's not as if he has no money.It might ruin the plot if Mokuba doesn't get captured but it starts to get stupid after a while.

k)When dark Marik got beat,Mai,Dark Bakura,etc got released from the shadow realm.But what happened to Marik's father who also got sent to the shadow realm?Had he been there so long that he died?

1.No,marik is stronger than odeon coz he's got a god in his deck
2.Yeah all the items have that power
3.Coz they were stronger persons that yugi,yugi in duelist kingdom is a small kid and joey+may are like grown ups
4.she dueled him coz he was the only one who she couldnt beat
5.they count the cards before drawing,if you watch carefull you will see that with their fingers they count the cards when they draw
6.Its bcoz its anime-fantasy
7.Kaiba is just taller than the other guys

You must remember Yugi is very short (when not possesed by Yami), so Kaiba looks older than him. OK, everyone looks older than Yugi. I don't understand why Yugi is so short.

Kaiba is four years older than Yugi, 18 vs 14, if I'm not mistaken. Remember that in high school, seniors can be in the same classes as freshmen.

Yugi always wins because he's the main character! :p
He doesn't ALWAYS win though. Remember, he forfeited to Rebecca, and had other losses later in the anime that I won't give away yet.

The awnser to most of your questions is simply: It's more entertaining. If the Yu-Gi-Oh! show was like real life it'd be boring as hell.

Last year I had seniors, juniors, and sophmores in my classes and I live in America.

You're off subject, but to put the question at rest I'll awnser. It only happens when a student for some reason hasn't taken the class, like maybe it wasn't avaliable at the school they were at and is required at mine when they moved. Electives get mixed alot too because they're mostly optional.

Nope, Marik is stronger because of Ra and is variable trap cards that make him a better duelist

Yep, in a very early episode you see Yami Yugi send some punk dude trying to mess with Tea to the shadow realm.

Age isnt only a factor, remember that Joey nor Mai have Millenium Items so their minds(in a sense arent spilt from one personality to the other) arent divided from what is going on. But mainly its because of age.

Its an anime, they always bend the rules.

They are in a sense supposed to be fair skinned, from what i can tell and have seen most Asian people are fair skinned.(not trying to be discriminating or anything against Asians)

Animators draw differently, its only really matters after you figured out who is who.

Its kind of like how the black person needs to die in a horror movie(not discriminating against black people either),Mokuba fits the helpless brother in distress role. That's just his role.

Well i was told that the shadow realm was added in the anime by 4Kids/WB because technically when they were dueling in one of those "Shadow Games" one of them was supposed to die. But Marik's father on the other hand was not sent to the shadow realm but was killed my Marik's darkside, 4Kids/WB changed it later to not upset any kids watching.

k) In the Japanese version, Malik's father was never sent to the shadow realm. In the Millenium Rod, there's a knife that they always censor in the English version. Yami Malik stabs his father a few times like that.
He's not coming back, he's dead. ;D (Note: He was also going to do the same to Odion)

g) Kaiba's the same age as Yugi, but I have no idea how he gets off school. Kaiba would only be in the same class as Yugi and a few years older if he was really dumb, and we know he's not.
But a few years pass in the duration of Yugioh. Maybe, nearer the end, they're getting close to leaving school. (At the start they're 1st year senior high school students, they go up to the 3rd year, and they're allowed to leave school at the end of junior high school)

now i'm totally confused.Some say Kaiba is the same age as Yugi and some say he's older.Maybe we should have a poll on this.........

He's older, Kaiba is 18 years of age, Yugi Moto is only 14 years of age, now Yugi with the puzzle is a unkown age.
